Oekotex 100 Fabric
The vegan fabric looks almost like suede and feels very soft and supple. It is also breathable and has an antibacterial surface. The material has been certified by Oekotex 100 and is considered one of the most ecological, vegan fabrics for shoes.
Cork
Cork has developed into one of the most popular natural materials in recent years. We use high-quality cork from Portugal for our vegan shoes, which comes from sustainable production.
Cork is an ideal upper material for shoes because it is breathable, water-repellent, and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
Piñatex
Piñatex is made from the cellulose fiber of pineapple leaves, a by-product of the pineapple industry. Normally, the leaves are burned or decompose on their own.
By producing Piñatex, pineapple farmers have the opportunity to earn an additional income from the by-product.
Piñatex is a particularly sustainable product because no additional resources such as land, water, electricity, or fertilizers are needed for its production.
Piñatex can be used anywhere leather is normally used. It is breathable, moldable, and very durable, making it the ideal material for vegan shoes.
Mesh Fabric
For our airy summer shoes, we use vegan mesh fabric as the outer material in combination with inner cotton. Both are wonderfully breathable, making them perfect for the warmer days of the year.
